Do you offer transit insurance?

Yes, we are happy to offer all-risk*, wall-to-wall transit insurance for any services booked through ARTA. ARTA Transit Insurance is an optional service that can be added to any quote, and the cost will be itemized. We cannot provide ARTA Transit Insurance as a stand alone service for shipments that are not booked through ARTA.

Insurance must be selected in the ARTA Platform or via the ARTA API and confirmed in the quote prior to shipment booking. Insurance cannot be purchased after the shipment has been collected.

IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING HIGH-VALUE ITEMS

All shipments with a requested insurance value over $5,000,000 must be sent to
insurance@shiparta.com with a full product description, photographs of items and a
commercial invoice.

A condition report is required for any value over $250,000 before we can ensure certain
objects. An ARTA representative will be in contact if required.

*Exclusions to “All Risk” Coverage

This insurance does not cover loss or damage caused by or resulting from:
  • Natural aging, gradual deterioration, inherent defect, rust or oxidation, moth or vermin, warping or shrinkage.
  • Any loss to property on exhibition at a fairground, or at the premises of a national or international exposition, unless the premises are covered by this policy.
  • Loss or damage or liability directly or indirectly by acts of conflict and natural disasters; force majeure.
  • Loss or damage caused by or resulting from confiscation, nationalization, requisition or destruction of or damage to property by or under the order of any government or public or local authority.
